The Tadoba tiger reserve and its surroundings provide for unique experiences with respect to exploring the flora and fauna, spirituality and practice of yoga.
Irai Safari Resort has a team of naturalists and local guides, who details the variety of flora and fauna in the Tadoba Jungle. Bird watching excursions can also be organized by the resort.
Safari rounds in the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, buffer zone and elephant rides in the reserve are a part of the activities that can be booked for visitors.
Bird watching expeditions, bullock cart rides, nature trails, cycling etc are few things, that are part of our activity schedules for guests. Excursion trips to the nearby village can be organized on request. These offer excellent opportunity to explore rural cultures of India, especially central India.
Irai Safari Resorts also understand their social responsibility towards forest and environment. As a part of our efforts towards conservation, we have partnered with some local NGOs who work around Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. With a prior appointment, guest can also interact with our partner NGOs to know more about wildlife conservation. They have in-depth knowledge of the flora and fauna around and love to interact with similar minded people. Though they are usually busy with their field work, a meeting can be arranged with their members if they are working around the resort area.
Movies on wildlife are screened in the amphitheater on request. Nature slide shows are also held at the open air restaurant compered by our in-house naturalist. If possible we also invite our partners NGO to give a small presentation after the movie session. They have some amazing experiences to share, which is usually a thrilling experience for the guests.
The retreat offers a variety of indoor games Chess, Carrom, Table-tennis, darts board, cards etc. Irai Safari Retreat has a covered shack for visitors to relax and party in.
Jununa Gate Night Safari
Jununa gate falls in the buffer area of TATR. The forest department has made arrangements for an overnight stay at this gate above the forests protection hut and close to a water hole.
There is a room with two beds and a small balcony and attached bathroom for the guests. Guests are dropped at this room at 7:00 P.M and picked up the next morning at 7:00 A.M.
Irai Safari Retreat arranges for pick up and drops from the resort.

Boating at Irai Lake
The forest department has arranged for a boating facility on the backwaters of Irai lake. This activity is excellent for bird watchers and bird photographers. Some of the birds that can be seen there are Crested Poachard, Grey Heron, Stork Billed Kingfisher, and Cotton Goose.
There are many migratory birds that also take a break at this lake.
Boating Timing: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Boating is closed in the monsoon (July – October end)
